Today we are proud to announce that arcade-style boxing game Thunder Ray will soon receive physical release for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. Additionally, Eastasiasoft Limited will publish Thunder Ray digitally for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 in Japan and Asia, with launch expected in Summer 2024.
Originally developed by Argentinian studio Purple Tree, Thunder Ray puts players in control of an up-and-coming champion as he’s pulled into the ring to face bizarre and ruthless challengers from across the galaxy. The game boasts rhythmic, strategic boxing mechanics and fluidly animated hand-drawn characters. As Ray, players will need to learn each opponent’s quirks, strengths and weaknesses if they hope to be the last boxer standing.
Pre-orders for the physical release of Thunder Ray open with online retail partner Playasia this Thursday, March 14th at 11:00pm Hong Kong time (11:00am ET / 8:00am PT / 3:00pm UK). Limited Editions will include the game, manual, soundtrack CD and numbered certificate in a collector’s box. Standard copies will also be available as an open pre-order.
Thunder Ray features support for English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese text.
